Frequently Asked Questions


What ages of children do you accept? 6 weeks through 8th grade. We provide early child care, preschool, and kindergarten through 8th grade.


What are your hours of operation? We are open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. but will be more flexible if possible.


Do you provide part-time and drop-in care? Yes! We provide part time care and drop in care whenever possible as numbers allow.


Do you provide meals and snacks? We do not provide meals, but do provide snacks.


What do I need to bring with me to sign-up for child care? Fill out the registration form, health history, and intake form. Provide a deposit of $50 which will go toward your tuition.


In what event will the center be closed? Do you close for weather? Closings will be posted on the Facebook page and the website. We won’t be closed just because the schools closed. Holidays include New Years’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, we will be closed on the Friday before and if the holiday falls on a Sunday we will be closed on Monday. Holidays are still paid days for you and our staff.


Do you take other vacations throughout the year? No.


What is your child-to-teacher ratio?  We follow state recommendations for child to teacher ratio - 4:1 caregiver to infant.


How many staff members are CPR and first aid certified? All of our staff is certified in CPR when hired and get re-certified as required.


Do you mix age groups? We follow state guidelines for mixed age groups.


Do you welcome parent involvement? Can I stop by unannounced? Yes! We embrace the whole family. If you’d like to get an inside look at your child at play or in the classroom, you are more than welcome to stop by anytime.


What types of activities do you offer for infants and toddlers? We provide age appropriate activities, both indoors and outdoors, to stimulate the minds of infants and toddlers and to promote motor and social skill development.


What will my child be learning in your preschool?  Religious education is present at all levels.  In addition, we follow Wisconsin state standards and augment the education as the child’s ability permits.


How often do you clean the rooms and toys? Our rooms are on cleaning schedules for different areas of the classroom throughout the week. If a teacher sees a child cough, sneeze, or put a toy in their mouth, the toy goes directly into the sink in the classroom to be cleaned and sanitized. The infant room is cleaned twice a day, and the changing tables and bathrooms are disinfected after each diaper change.


What is your policy regarding sick children? Your child should stay home if they have a temperature of 100 degrees or more under arm. They must be symptom free, with no medication, for 24 hours before returning. Symptoms include: vomiting, diarrhea rash, persistent cough, fever, head lice and pink eye.


How do you communicate with parents? The parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers receive a daily journal that documents feedings, naps, diaper/potty times and other important notes.


What if someone other than me or my spouse must pick up my child? To protect your child, we require that you provide the names of any individual ho has permission to pick up your child. We require notice from you when someone other than a family member will be picking up your child and will check identification. If we have any questions or concerns, we ask that you are available via cellphone to provide confirmation.


What security measures are in place to protect my child? Doors are locked, security cameras are present, and the playground area is fenced in.


Do you offer a year-round program? Yes, this is a year-round program for the convenience of working parents. Summer Program will be available for school age children.


How do I schedule a tour? Please give us a call Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 3:00 and we will be happy to schedule a tour. Call the school office at 920-261-5589.


How do I contact teachers? Call the office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 and 3:00. A cell phone number will be provided for after hour emergency.


Is your child care program state licensed? Not at this time, but we are committed to meet or exceed the state regulations.


What are the daycare prices?


Infant & Toddlers (6 weeks to 2 Years)

• Full Time: $4.75/hour, $213.75/week

• Part Time: $4.75/hour



• Full Time: $4.35/hour, $295.75/week

• Part Time: $4.35/hour



• Full Time: $4.00/hour, $180.00/week

• Part Time: $4.00/hour


Four & Five-Years

• Full Time: $4.00/hour, $180.00/week

• Part Time: $4.00/hour

• Summer Program 2020 $4.00/hour $180/week


School Aged Children

Before and After School Care $3.75hour

All rates are subject to change.


Do parents still have to pay during vacations, holidays, and personal/sick days? Yes.


How often do children play outside at childcare? Babies go for stroller walks and toddlers play outside when the weather and schedule permits.


Does your childcare share pictures of the children with parents? Yes, with your permission.


Does your child care charge a fee to place my child on a waiting list? Yes.


Does the center supply diapers, or is that up to the parent? Parents supply diapers, wipes, and diaper cream.


Do I need to bring any other supplies for my infant? Parents supply two sets of crib sheets, a change of clothing, ready to feed bottles and baby food and lunches for the toddlers.


Can your child care center open early/close later to fit my schedule? We will try and be as flexible as possible.


Does the child care center ever drive the children anywhere? No.


Does your child care center require a deposit at time of enrollment? Yes, $50. This deposit will go toward your child care fee.


Does your child care center require a contract for a set period? We require you to pay on a month to month basis.


Can I celebrate my child’s birthday at your child care center? Yes.


Can my child bring his/her toys to the child care center? No.


Can my child bring a comfort item for nap time? Yes.


For the first few days can I come and observe for an extended period? Yes, but it may hinder the teacher/child relationship.


How should I drop my child off and leave the child care center? All children will enter through the main entrance of the school building.


Can I drop off/pick up my child anytime during the day at the childcare center? Yes.


After my child gets shots can they come back to the child care center? Yes, with the permission of the doctor.


Do you apply sunblock to the children at the child care center? Yes, with your permission.


My child isn’t potty trained. Is that ok and is there an additional fee? Our prices are based on age as opposed to being potty trained. 3k & 4k must be potty trained.


Can I come over on my lunch break to breast feed at the child care center? Yes.


I plan on supplying breastmilk to bottle feed. Is that ok & how is that best handled? Yes, have bottles ready to feed and clearly labeled.


Do you have a refrigerator for storing bottles? We store bottles in a refrigerator in the child care room.


How do you warm the bottles? Bottle warmer.


Do you feed babies on demand or on a schedule? Both. If your baby is on schedule we will try and follow it. If you prefer your baby is fed on demand, we will accommodate that.


Where do children nap at the child care center? Infants & toddlers will have their own crib.


How much notice is required to terminate care at the childcare center? 30 Days.


Does the child care center care for special needs children? This would be determined on a case by case basis and we will try and accommodate if possible.


Do you provide receipts for payment? Yes, receipts will be provided.


Does the child care require all children have up to date vaccinations? Yes.


Can you give my child medications at the child care center? Yes, with written permission and instruction.


Do you have a nap schedule for infants? Yes, our infant program does follow a nap schedule that is unique to that child’s needs.


Are babies placed on their backs to sleep and do you follow other safe sleeping practices to reduce the risk of SIDS? Our staff is trained on safe sleep practices upon hire. All children are placed in a crib on their backs to sleep.


What do you expect from me as a parent? We feel so honored that you have trusted us to care for your precious infant. It is very helpful to us if you communicate openly with us about your child’s needs and make yourself available during the day if we call with any updates or questions. Please let us know of any schedule changes as soon as possible.


Do you offer transportation? We do not offer transportation for infants & toddlers. Each family is responsible for arranging pick up and drop off.


Does my child have to come every day? Do you offer half days? We offer both part-time and full-time schedules.
